As a professional kitesurfer and runner-up in the world kite speed championship, I have elevated my sport to the level of eco-engagement. I’ve kited at altitudes of over 5,000 metres in the Andes and Himalayas to turn the sporting challenge into an appeal to the climate emergency.
I believe that top-level sportsmen and women have a crucial role to play in raising environmental awareness. My commitment to the environment has even led me to put aside my Olympic plans for 2024 to concentrate on raising awareness of ecological issues.
